I understand that this application is current for two (2) calendar years only. After two years, if I have not heard from The H. T. Hackney Co. (Hackney) and still wish to be considered for employment, it will be necessary to fill out a new application.

I understand that the falsification, misrepresentation, or omis sion of fact or any statement on this application, or any other accompanying or required documents, will be cause for denial of employ ment or immediate termination, regardless of when or how discovered.

Tunderstand that if employed by Hackney that the employment relation will be at will in nature. That means that I may resign my employ ment at any time, with or without notice, with or without cause. I understand that the company has the same right to end the employ ment relationship. Additionally, I understand that nothing contained in this employment application or stated during any interview can create any employment contract between Hackney and me for any term of employment or for the providing of any benefit. No prom ises regarding employment have been made to me and I understand no such promises or guarantees are binding on Hackney unless in writing. Hackney retains the right to terminate employment with or without cause in addition to any other disciplinary action which it deems necessary to maintain the efficient administration of Hackney. Hackney's production requirements and customer needs may require transfers between day and night shifts and daily and/or weekend overtime may be obligatory. It is also agreed that Hackney has the right to determine the size of the workforce and to increase or decrease the number of its employees retained; to adopt, mod ify or alter its budget; to combine or reorganize any part of, or all of its operations; to determine the location of work assignments and related work to be performed; to determine the number of employees to be assigned to any particular operation, and to determine the number of supervisors. I further understand that this at will employment relationship may not be changed to any other employment relationship unless the change is specifically acknowledged in writing by the President of Hackney.
Hackney also has the unilateral right to modify or to terminate any policies, practices, procedures and standards it has adopted or imple mented, to the extent not limited by law. I understand and acknowledge that no Hackney employee or representative, other than its President, has either the power or the authority to enter into any agreement for employment for any specified period of time, or to make any representations or agreements contrary to any of the foregoing, unless that agreement is in writing and signed by the President of Hackney. I understand that any prior representations, promises, contracts or statements made by or on behalf of any person are com pletely superceded by the foregoing.
I understand that if offered employment with Hackney that the offer would be contingent upon my passing a drug screen. If request ed, I will consent to a physical examination, which includes a drug test, if a job offer is made to me. When requested, I will sign the appropriate paperwork authorizing the drug screen. I understand that refusing to take the drug screen or failing to take the drug screen at the time and place requested will be considered my voluntary withdrawal of my application of employment with Hackney.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 states employers are to require all persons hired to submit documents showing their identity and their right lawfully to be employed in the United States. It also requires the employee to complete and sign a government form to this effect. If you receive an offer of employment from Hackney, you must furnish documents for inspection which verify your identity and indicate you are lawfully permitted to work in the United States. Documents which are acceptable include your driver's license, or state issued identification card, and your Social Security card or birth certification. A current and valid passport is also suf ficient. These documents must be provided within three (3) working days of employment. If original documents are unavailable, you must submit proof that you have applied for the required documents.
